FILM & PRESENTING
If there’s one thing Sheldon loves doing, it’s making things accessible. As a presenter he won’t lecture you: he’ll draw you in by sharing and humanising a whole range of topics to see how wonderful, fascinating, sad or silly something can be. With his training as a tour guide, Sheldon specialises in this emotive and engaging way of presenting and has worked with The Royal Parks, The Gardens Trust, The Brunel and Petrie Museums in fronting and delivering inclusive content that brings stories to life. He can also edit videos too!
LGBT HISTORY MONTH 2022
Working with Schools OUT UK and LGBT History Month, I co-filmed and edited social media content looking at queer history in the collections of the National Gallery with LGBTQ+ rights activist Sue Sanders.
TALES FROM THE CATACOMBS
Produced to celebrate a more respectable element of Halloween for the Royal Parks in 2021, I was given unlimited access to a part of the cemetery that's been clsoed to visitors since 1890. Delving into the archives to explore the few affluent lives who chose to be placed on a shelf, rather than buried.
THE BRUNEL MUSEUM
Filming, writing and producing three videos with museum professional Sacha Coward exploring the LGBTQ+ history of one of London's landmark engineering projects.
QUEERLY DEPARTED
Commissioned by The Royal Parks off the back of a highly successful LGBTQ+ tour exploring the dead of Brompton Cemetery, I was co-commissioned to record a series of videos introducing some of the people buried in one of the historic cemeteries of London.
DATAS: THE HUMAN ALMANAC
A reflection back on the life of one of one of the early music hall and variety entertainers who would appear across the country in the early 20th century, using the power of his mind to dazzle audiences with feats of amazing recollection.
THE DIARY OF NATHANIEL BRYCESON
A short introduction to one of the lesser known diarists of 19th century London: whose journal details historical incidents and sexual exploits in equal measure.
